Security Statement
Data Security and Encryption
At My
Lingerie Secrets your privacy is as important to us as it is
to you.
We take
the security of your personal
information very seriously and that is why
we selected PayPal as our credit card and
transactions processor.
When you pay for your
purchases you never have to share your
credit card information with us - the
seller. (This gives you peace of mind
knowing that your credit card information
and personal information is not being
transmitted to your seller's email address
over an un-secure channel and then who knows
where after that). PayPal is an
industry-leading provider of fraud
prevention technology. PayPal protects you
from identity theft and covers buyers 100%
against unauthorized payments. To date
PayPal has over 100 million
accounts.
The security of your
information, transactions, and money is the
core of PayPal's business and therefore
PayPal's top priority.
PayPal automatically encrypts your
confidential information in transit from
your computer to theirs using the Secure
Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an
encryption key length of 128-bits (the
highest level commercially available).
Before you even register or log in to their
site, their server checks that you're using
an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0
or higher.
Once your information reaches them, it
resides on a server that is heavily guarded
both physically and electronically. Their
servers sit behind an electronic firewall
and are not directly connected to the
internet, so your private information is
available only to authorized computers.
PayPal takes
the privacy of your personal information
very seriously. They will not sell or rent
your personally identifiable information or
a list of their customers to third parties.
When paying by credit card
you will need to provide your name, address,
phone number, and e-mail address. You will
need to also provide credit card, or debit
card information, which is all very
standard. However, for added extra security
measures you will also be asked to choose
two different security questions to answer
(such as your city of birth or your pet's
name) This required information is necessary
in order to process transactions. You will
be issued a new password should you forget
or lose your password. This protects you
against credit card fraud and checking
account fraud.
In order to protect all customers against
potential fraud, PayPal will verify the
information you provide. In the course of
such verification, PayPal will use card
authorization and fraud screening services
to verify that the credit card or debit card
information and address matches the
information that you supplied, and that the
card has not been reported as lost or
stolen.
An
address is confirmed if the buyer’s credit
card billing address matches his or her
shipping address. (i.e., the address where
you receive your credit card statement).
Although the vast majority of unconfirmed
addresses are not fraudulent, PayPal offers
confirmed addresses as an additional layer
of fraud protection. Confirmed addresses
help guard against stolen credit cards and
identity theft and decrease your chances of
receiving a chargeback.
PayPal is committed to handling your
customer information with high standards of
information security. Your credit card
information is stored only in encrypted form
on computers that are not connected to the
Internet. PayPal maintain physical,
electronic and procedural safeguards that
comply with federal regulations to guard
your nonpublic personal information. PayPal
tests their security systems regularly and
also contract with outside companies to
audit their security systems and processes.
PayPal Buyer
Protection is offered as a way to make
PayPal's online trading community even safer
and more secure. With PayPal Buyer
Protection, qualified purchases are eligible
for up to $1000.00 USD coverage at no
additional cost.

What does it mean to be Verified?
Verification increases the security
of the PayPal network. Verified
members have successfully completed
PayPal's verification system to
establish their identity with PayPal.
The verification process varies by
country. For example, in the U.S., a
Verified member has confirmed a bank
account with PayPal.
Because financial institutions
screen their account holders,
PayPal's verification process
increases security when you pay
parties you do not know.
We hope this gives you peace of mind
when purchasing from My
Lingerie
Secrets. As you can see we are very
adamant about protecting your
privacy and personal information.
Thank you.
