Cute-for-you suits!
Girls' Life, by Dean Foreman
OMG! It's summer! That means sun,
fun and, yes, swimsuits. We asked real GL girls
for their biggest swimsuit dilemmas, then found
this summer's most gorgeous solutions. Meet the
suits that flatter every body--especially yours!
THE PERFECT CUT FOR YOUR BUTT
Who doesn't want to look cute
coming and going? We've got your back.
FLAT BUTT Add more shape with a
short ruffle bottom that flounces out on top.
This helps give the illusion of more going on in
the backseat. Stay away from super clingy
bottoms.
BOOTYLICIOUS BUTT We're ready for
your jelly. And so is the world-show it off!
Avoid full-skirt bottoms, and go classic
high-sides cut. The higher angle works with your
assets to emphasize your fabulous shape.
PEAR BUTT Because you have a
narrow waist and juicy booty, draw attention
upward. Try a patterned halter tank top and a
solid bottom. Want a one-piece? Going with a
high-cut adds emphasis to your skinny middle.
Stay away from horizontal lines--they'll widen.
ALLOVER CURVES You have hips,
butt and thighs, so longer-skirted styles are
great for added coverage. A sarong tied at an
angle from your hip downward to your opposite
thigh ion a knot creates a slimming effect, too.
I AM CURVY AND PROUD!
Want to show off a great bust or
curvy hips? Look for separates you can buy
individually (smaller on top or larger on the
bottom--no problem!). Being able to pick
different sizes or styles will give you lots of
options for showing off your favorite assets.
I NEED A MODEST BUT ADORABLE
SUIT.
Who says covered can't be cute?
Look for great prints and unique details. A
hipster belt draws attention to your curves
without going overboard.
FOREVER WEDGED BUTT Constant
wedgieness means you're buying bottoms in the
wrong size. Make sure your bottom fits snugly,
and Spandex suits are better than all-cotton.
Try layering a swim short over a one-piece or
opt for low, hipster bikini bottoms.
BAGGY BUTT Saggy suit syndrome
means the suit is stretched out or too big. Buy
separate sizes for top and bottom pieces so your
suit is tailored to fit above and below. For
one-pieces, make sure the torso isn't too long.
